OpenBMC support

The OpenBMC is a Linux distribution for BMCs meant to work across heterogeneous systems that include enterprise, high-performance computing (HPC), telecommunications, and cloud-scale data centers. IBM Electronic Service Agent now supports discovery of OpenBMC systems. For more information, see the OpenBMC section.

Solution information

IBM Electronic Service Agent displays the solution information details (Type / Model / Serial) on the System Info panel, if you specify the corresponding details through Rest API. For more information, see section the Solution Information section.

Commands information

  • Use the esacli updateCache command to update the cache with the recent changes to the health status and problem status of the systems. For more information, see the esacli UpdateCache topic.
  • Use the esacli test command to create a test problem in a system with the specified system ID. For more information, see the esacli test topic.
