MDM scenarios for Salesforce.com integration

The artifacts to use the InfoSphere® MDM and Salesforce.com integration scenarios are provided when you download the project from the IBM® Samples and Asset site. These scenarios enable searching, adding account and contact information, retrieving events from MDM, synchronizing information, and loading bulk data from MDM to Salesforce.com.

MDM Powered Search
MDM Powered Search for InfoSphere MDM Standard Edition uses the MDM probabilistic matching capability. MDM Powered Search enhances the Salesforce.com search so that you can find variants of an account name, account names with typographical errors, and account names that sound similar. By making existing customer records evident to users, you can apply the existing information at the point of entry and avoid creating duplicate records in Salesforce.com.
MDM Powered Search for InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition
MDM Powered Search for InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition uses the MDM probabilistic matching capability. MDM Powered Search for MDM Advanced Edition enhances the Salesforce.com search so that you can find variants of an account name and address even if you have typographical errors. The probabilistic matching capability also finds account names that sound similar. By making existing customer records evident, you can apply the known information at the point of entry and avoid creating duplicate records in Salesforce.com.
MDM Driven Data Enrichment
Salesforce.com does not automatically enrich customer information with data from other enterprise systems or third-party data sources. Using the MDM Driven Data Enrichment scenario allows interaction information from MDM to enrich the contact and account information that you have in SalesForce.com.
MDM Generated Events
Duplicate data, lack of data quality, and lack of insight about relationships between existing records can lead to customer dissatisfaction, increased operational costs, and less effective decision making. Salesforce.com users can take advantage of the MDM searching, matching, and linking capabilities to take appropriate data stewardship actions on their data in Salesforce.com.
Bulk data export from MDM to Salesforce.com
Use the bulk data export scenario to export MDM data to Salesforce.com. This scenario requires the use of an InfoSphere DataStage® job that uses the MDM Connector Stage with the Member read interaction to extract the master records from the MDM database. Then, you use the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Pack for Salesforce.com to load the records into Salesforce.com.
Synchronization of Account and Contact from Salesforce.com to InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition
Synchronization of Account and Contact scenario uses the InfoSphere MDM party maintenance APIs and the Salesforce.com polling API to synchronize information from Salesforce.com in the on-premises MDM. This scenario can be used if you have InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition.
Synchronization of Organization and Person from InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition to Salesforce.com
In an InfoSphere MDM MDM Advanced Edition implementation with a centralized operational server, the records are first created in MDM and are then propagated to other sources. Use this scenario to synchronize MDM Organization objects to Salesforce.com Account objects and MDM Person objects to Salesforce.com Contact objects.
