Synchronization of Account and Contact from Salesforce.com to InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition

Synchronization of Account and Contact scenario uses the InfoSphere® MDM party maintenance APIs and the Salesforce.com polling API to synchronize information from Salesforce.com in the on-premises MDM. This scenario can be used if you have InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition.

The following diagram shows the sequence of activities and transactions that are involved in the Synchronization of Account and Contact information from Salesforce.com to MDM Advanced Edition.

Account and Contact information can be created or updated in Salesforce.com. The WebSphere® Cast Iron® orchestration uses the Object Polling API to periodically poll Salesforce.com for any adds or updates and then captures this information. The orchestration also maps the Salesforce.com object with the InfoSphere MDM Party object. The orchestration then calls the MDM Party maintenance web service to synchronize the changes back to the on-premises MDM. As part of this process, account-to-account and account-to-contact relationships are also synchronized with MDM through the Party maintenance relationship transaction.
