Synchronization of Organization and Person from InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition to Salesforce.com

In an InfoSphere® MDM MDM Advanced Edition implementation with a centralized operational server, the records are first created in MDM and are then propagated to other sources. Use this scenario to synchronize MDM Organization objects to Salesforce.com Account objects and MDM Person objects to Salesforce.com Contact objects.

When created in MDM, the corresponding Person, Organization, or Party entity in Salesforce.com is created in a near real-time data synchronization process. As the entity is created in Salesforce.com, the Salesforce.com entity ID is synced back to the corresponding MDM Party as an Admin Sys key.

The following diagram shows the sequence of activities and transactions involved in the synchronization of Organization and Person information from InfoSphere MDM to the Account and Contact information in Salesforce.com.

A Data Steward uses MDM to create Person or Organization information in InfoSphere MDM. As part of the post interaction handler, the newly created party is posted to a JMS queue. The WebSphere® Cast Iron® Orchestration polls for the newly created party and then maps the Party object with the corresponding Salesforce.com object. An upsert API is then called to synchronize the updates.
