Editing the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node by using the IBM Integration Toolkit

Use the IBM® Integration Toolkit to edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node to add or edit device connections and measurement sets.

Before you start:

  1. Create a configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node. See Configuring a MedicalDeviceInput node.
  2. Confirm the name of the configurable service file you want to edit:
    1. In the Message Flow editor, right-click the MedicalDeviceInput node that has been configured with the configurable service you want to edit and select Properties.
    2. In the Properties view, click Basic. The name of the configurable service file is shown in the Configurable service file field.

You must use the Medical Device Configurable Service editor to edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node. If you create a new configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node, the editor automatically opens after you create the configurable service.

To edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node, complete the following steps:

  1. If the Medical Device Configurable Service editor is not open, in the Application Development view, double-click the configurable service file you want to edit. The Medical Device Configurable Service editor opens.
  2. You can now add device connections and measurement sets; see Adding a device connection or Adding a measurement set.
  3. You can edit existing device connections and measurement sets; see Editing a device connection or Editing a measurement set.
  4. You can remove existing device connections and measurement sets; see Removing a device connection or Removing a measurement set.
