Editing the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node

Edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node to add or edit device connections and measurement sets. You can edit the configurable service by using the IBM® Integration Toolkit or by using the IBM Integration Explorer.

Before you start:

Create a configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node. See Configuring a MedicalDeviceInput node.

The configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node contains the device connections and measurement sets that define the data that is sent to the MedicalDeviceInput node from medical devices. You must edit the configurable service to connect to medical devices and to specify the data that the devices send.

You can edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node by using the IBM Integration Toolkit or by using the IBM Integration Explorer. If you want to complete any of the following tasks when you edit the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput, you must use the IBM Integration Toolkit to edit the configurable service:
  • Editing the device ID in a device connection
  • Adding or removing a measurement set
  • Editing the name or device type of a measurement set
  • Adding or removing measurements in a measurement set
Otherwise, use the IBM Integration Toolkit to edit the configurable service when you are developing your message flow applications and use the IBM Integration Explorer to edit a configurable service that is deployed to a broker.
