Configuring a MedicalDeviceInput node

After you have added a MedicalDeviceInput node to a message flow, configure it. You configure a MedicalDeviceInput node by selecting the configurable service that your node uses. The configurable service contains the configuration information for the devices that send medical data to the node.

Before you start:

  1. You must add a MedicalDeviceInput node to a message flow, see Adding a MedicalDeviceInput node.
  2. Ensure that the configurable service you want to use in your MedicalDeviceInput node is not already used in another MedicalDeviceInput node.
The configuration information for a MedicalDeviceInput node is contained in a configurable service. You must select a configurable service for every MedicalDeviceInput node. Do not use a configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node in more than one node. For more information about the configuration information contained in a configurable service, see MedicalDeviceInput nodes in message flows. To configure your MedicalDeviceInput node you can create a new configurable service or select an existing configurable service. Existing configurable service files can be selected from your current workspace or imported from a file that is outside your workspace.
Next:

Edit the configurable service for your MedicalDeviceInput node to add device connections and measurement sets. See Editing the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node by using the IBM Integration Toolkit.
