Rolling upgrade of Operational Decision Manager

To upgrade Operational Decision Manager from V8.7 to V8.8.0 while keeping your existing distributed system running, you can upgrade the system gradually, component by component. This process is known as a rolling upgrade. V8.7 includes V8.7.0, V8.7.1, and all of the fix packs.

Before you begin

To perform a rolling upgrade, you must be familiar with operating, deploying, and maintaining the system where Operational Decision Manager is installed, which includes installing the product and applying patches.
  • Overview
    You can continue to provide Operational Decision Manager as a service while the software is being upgraded without shutting down the entire system. Each node is upgraded in turn, until all server nodes and all client nodes are upgraded. The rolling upgrade is complete when all components use the same version.
