Upgrading the Rule Execution Server console

The rolling upgrading begins with the Rule Execution Server console.

Before you begin

  1. All Operational Decision Manager components must be at V8.7 when you start the rolling upgrade to V8.8.0.
    Note: Before you upgrade, the version of all Operational Decision Manager components must be the same. That is, all of them must be at either V8.7.0 or V8.7.1. You cannot have mixed versions of V8.7.0 and V8.7.1.
  2. Install Rule Execution Server V8.8.0 on the same computer that can access the Rule Execution Server database.

Procedure

  1. Deploy the Rule Execution Server console management EAR file V8.8.0 for your supported application server.
  2. Verify that the Rule Execution Server console V8.8.0 is connected to the Rule Execution Server database, and that the console is notifying the same IP addresses as V8.7.

    To continue operations at execution time, the console must point to the same IP addresses as V8.7.
