Generate Data Rule or Rule Set window - Bindings and Output tab - Bindings view

Use this view to bind the rule expression elements with the corresponding data sources and literals.

Rule Logic Variables pane

Name: Shows the name of the rule logic variables that appear in the rule logic expression.

Rule Definition: Shows the data rule definition from which the rule logic variable originally came.

Data Type: Shows the data type of the rule logic variable, such as String, Numeric, or Date/Time.

Binding: Shows the physical bindings associated with the rule logic variable.

Open Definition: Select to open the data rule or rule set definition.
Run: Select to run the logic of the data rule or rule set.
View Output: Select to view the output of the data rule or rule set.
Validate: Select to test the validity of the data rule or rule set. If the expression is invalid, a message is displayed in the Alert panel area.
