Use the Global Logical Variables tab
to bind the data rule or rule set to a logical variable.
- Show items with compatible data type only
- Select this option to show only the data sources that have compatible
data types only.
- (Filter icon)
- Filtering consists of an attribute, an operator, and a value.
Click the Filter icon and then select the attribute,
operator, and a text or date value by which to filter the metadata.
You can apply the filters to all or any conditions.
- Search field
- You can type a search string in the text field to search the quality
controls by name.
- Name
- Shows the logical variables that are associated with the open
project.
- Description
- Shows the short description of the logical variable.
- Data Type
- Shows the data types of the listed logical variables. A data type
is a classification that indicates what type of data is stored in
the logical variable, such as string, numeric, or date.
- Binding
- Shows the logical variable bound to the data rule or rule set.
- Set as Bindings
- Click to set the logical variable as a binding.
- Open Definition
- Select to open the data rule or rule set definition.
- Run
- Select to run the logic of the data rule or rule set.
- View Output
- Select to view the output of the data rule or rule set.
- Validate
- Select to test the validity of the data rule or rule set. If the
expression is invalid, a message is displayed in the Alert panel area.
