Use the Data Sources tab
to define the source that you want to make comparisons against.
- Show items with compatible data type only
- Select this option to show only the data sources that have compatible
data types.
- (Filter icon)
- Filtering consists of an attribute, an operator, and a value.
Click the Filter icon and then select the attribute,
operator, and a text or date value by which to filter the metadata.
You can apply the filters to all or any conditions.
- Search field
- You can type a search string in the text field to search the quality
controls by name.
- Name
- Shows the name of any data sources that are associated with the
open project.
- Name Alias
- Shows the alias name for the data source. An alias is an alternate
name you chose for a database, table, or column.
- Description
- Shows the data source data field.
- Data Type
- Shows the data type of the data source data field.
- View Sample
- Click to view the to view a sample of the table or column that
you selected.
- Set as Bindings
- Click to specify the selected data source as a binding for the
data rule or rule set.
- Open Definition
- Select to open the data rule or rule set definition.
- Run
- Select to run the logic of the data rule or rule set.
- View Output
- Select to view the output of the data rule or rule set.
- Validate
- Select to test the validity of the data rule or rule set. If the
expression is invalid, a message is displayed in the Alert panel area.
