Upgrading an IBM CMIS deployment

After you upgrade the IBM® Content Navigator software, you must rebuild and redeploy your IBM CMIS web applications.

Before you begin

Before you rebuild and redeploy the web application, back up the IBM CMIS configuration profile that you plan to rebuild and redeploy. For more information, see Backing up IBM Content Navigator.

About this task

If you have more than one IBM CMIS deployment in your environment, you must rebuild and redeploy each deployed instance of IBM CMIS.

Important: If you use the graphical user interface version of the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool to upgrade your deployment, you must select Modify an existing deployment profile.

If you select Upgrade an existing deployment profile, you cannot successfully deploy an upgraded instance of IBM CMIS.

Use the following tables to determine which configuration and deployment tasks you must run:

Configure IBM CMIS for FileNet Content Manager				You do not need to run this task when you upgrade IBM CMIS
Configure the JDBC Driver for your Database	Rarely required			Run this task only if you changed the location of the JDBC drivers on your IBM Content Navigator server.
Configure IBM CMIS for Content Manager				You do not need to run this task when you upgrade IBM CMIS
Configure the IBM CMIS Client Authentication Method				You do not need to run this task when you upgrade IBM CMIS
