If you deploy IBM® Content
Navigator or an IBM Content
Navigator component on WebSphere® Application
Server, you should map the components
of the deployed application to IBM HTTP
Server.
About this task
Although
IBM HTTP
Server is
not required, it is strongly recommended that you use
IBM HTTP
Server to manage HTTP traffic
to your
IBM Content
Navigator server.
Procedure
To map the components of your deployed web application
to your load balancing server:
- Open the appropriate tool for your environment:
- WebSphere Application
Server administrative
console
- WebSphere Application
Server Network Deployment deployment
manager administrative console
- Go to and click the name of your
deployed web application.
- Go to to get a list of the modules in
your deployed web application.
- Map each module in the deployed web application to IBM HTTP
Server. Also, if you
are using task manager, create a mapping entry for the /taskManager URL.
If you are using sync services, create a mapping entry for the /sync URL.
- Generate the IBM HTTP
Server plug-in
configuration.
- If IBM HTTP
Server is on a remote server from
your deployment manager, propagate the IBM HTTP
Server plug-in to IBM HTTP
Server.
- Restart IBM HTTP
Server.
