After you upgrade the IBM® Content Navigator software, you must rebuild and redeploy your IBM Content Navigator web application.
Before you begin
- Back up the IBM Content Navigator configuration profile that you plan to rebuild and redeploy. For more information, see Backing up IBM Content Navigator.
IBM FileNet® P8,
Version 5.1 users only: If you upgraded your Process Engine installation, you must
run the Process Engine Client
to update the Process Engine client
connector files. For more information, see Updating the Process Engine client connector files (FileNet P8).
About this task
Important: 
If you use the graphical user interface version of
the IBM Content
Navigator Configuration
and Deployment Tool to upgrade your deployment, you must select Modify
an existing deployment profile. 
If you use the graphical user interface version of
the IBM Content
Navigator Configuration
and Deployment Tool to upgrade your deployment, you must select Modify
an existing deployment profile. If you select Upgrade an existing deployment profile, you cannot successfully deploy an upgraded instance of IBM Content Navigator.
