Working with deployed instances

After you deploy a virtual system pattern, view the details about the deployed instance, including its status, the list of virtual machines that are provisioned on the cloud infrastructure for that deployment, and the logs that are generated during deployment. Use operations to monitor and manage the deployed instance.

Viewing statistics
Display statistics for virtual machines for the deployed instance.
Viewing logs
Display logs for virtual machines for the deployed instance.
Managing Rational Integration Tester
Manage the firewall for the deployed IBM® Rational Integration Tester instance. These operations include enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Managing Rational Test Control Panel
Manage IBM Rational Test Control Panel by using operations from the deployed instance. These operations include starting or stopping the Rational Test Control Panel or HTTP proxy, viewing the status of Rational Test Control Panel or HTTP proxy, enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Managing agents
Manage the agent operations for the deployed IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server instance or the deployed IBM Rational Performance Test Server instance. These operations include starting or stopping the agent, enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Scaling agents
The deployed IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server instance and the IBM Rational Performance Test Server instance uses a scaling policy to automatically scale in and scale out the number of agents for Rational Integration Tester. The auto-scaling of agents is also based on the CPU and memory usage.
Managing Rational License Key Server
Manage the license key server by using operations from the deployed instance. These operations include starting or stopping the license key server instance, adding, removing or viewing licences, enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Managing Rational License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool
Manage the license key server administration and reporting tool by using operations from the deployed license key server instance. These operations include starting or stopping the license key server administration and reporting tool, enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Managing Rational License Key Server Administration Agent
Manage the license key server administration agent by using operations from the license key server deployed instance. These operations include starting or stopping the license key server administration agent, enabling or disabling the firewall, and opening a port in the firewall.
Configuring firewall ports by using SSH
Instead of configuring the firewall ports by using the workload console operations, you can use a command line. You can disable firewall protection for specific ports, or disable the firewall itself by using SSH.
Disabling PVU license tracking
Patterns that use agent mode licensing are enabled to use PVU tracking. To disable PVU tracking, use the workload console.
