Importing the templates

The edited templates must be imported into the InfoSphere® Optim™ Data Growth Solution directory before you can archive or restore data.

About this task

For new installations of Maximo® Archiving Adapter, you must perform this procedure for each template that you want to import. The templates can be imported in any order.

If you are using Maximo Archiving Adapter version 7.5 and your access definitions for work orders and assets are updated, you can skip this procedure. Skipping this procedure is possible because the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution directory contains the information you need.

Procedure

  1. Open InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution.
  2. Click File > Optim Directory. Select the database you want to archive from and click Connect.
  3. Close the Optim Directory window.
  4. Click Utilities > Import.
  5. Identify one template that you want to import into the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution directory.
  6. Optional: To overwrite any data that might exist in the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution directory for the template, select the overwrite all definitions option.
  7. Click Tools > Select all definitions.
  8. Click Run to import the information into the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution directory.
  9. Optional: Verify the import operation by clicking Tools > Show Process Log.
