Before you start installing Operational Decision Manager, make sure that you have the required software and environments, and that you have sufficient disk space.
The programs that are listed in the following table are required for Operational Decision Manager to function. They are supplied as part of the installer. If they are not already installed on your computer, you can use the launchpad to install them.

WebSphere® Application Server Network Deployment V8.5.0.2 |
WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment is required only if you intend to deploy a sample server or a stand-alone server. WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment is used to run the samples and tutorials and also to install the Event runtime and to use the Event Widgets. Note: To install WebSphere Application Server Network
Deployment on Linux and AIX® systems, you must set the process
resource limits in the /etc/security/limits.conf file.
If the value for the number of open files is too low, errors can occur
when opening files or establishing connections. To change the open
file limit, edit the /etc/security/limits.conf file,
and add the following values:

WebSphere eXtreme Scale is required only if you intend to use the Event runtime. WebSphere eXtreme Scale is used to install the Event runtime. You must install WebSphere eXtreme Scale in the directory of WebSphere Application Server. |
