When a remote NCP is activated using the VARY ACT operator command, you can specify the switched link station name on the RNAME operand of the PCCU definition statement or on the RNAME operand of the VARY ACT operator command to have VTAM® automatically perform the dial operation and establish the switched connection. The following examples show the two ways to specify the RNAME operand to load and activate the remote NCP2 in Figure 1.
