data set being transmitted. In the message text:
System actionThe SYSOUT transmitter stops transmitting data sets for its current job and issues an RTAM "close" to cause the SYSOUT receiver to delete any output it has already received (that is, purge the received job). The transmitter will hold the job or the JOES it has acquired. JOB IS HELD appears in the message for SPOOL OFFLOAD. OUTGROUPS ARE HELD appears in the message for SNA NJE, BSC NJE or TCP/IP NJE networks. Operator responseDetermine if the data set is a null data set. Purge the null data set before releasing the job or outgroup for retransmission. If OUTGROUPS ARE HELD appears in the message, the held data sets can be displayed using the $L command and the data set can be made selectable for retransmission using the $T command.
