Task 4: Creating a scorecard project that references your BOM project

You learn how to create a scorecard project and set it to reference the BOM project created in the previous task.

About this task

In this task, you create a new scorecard project and set it up to reference the BOM project you created. You reference the BOM project so that the scorecard project can access the BOM, vocabulary and ruleset parameters.

Procedure

To create a new scorecard project that references the shared BOM project:

In Rule Designer, click File > New > Rule Project.
The New Rule Project wizard opens.
On the Select a template page, click Rule Project with a BOM, and then click Next.
On the Rule project page, in the Project name field, type scorecardrule_tutorial, and then click Next.
On both Rule Project XOM Settings pages, click Next.
On the Rule Project References page, click the scasharedBOM_tutorial check box, and then click Finish.

Results

You now have a scorecard project named scorecardrule_tutorial in Rule Designer, which references the shared BOM project.

In the next task, you create a rule project that references your BOM project.
