Preparing for IMAP clients

Open the firewall ports that are required for IMAP access. Ports 993 and 465 must be open to allow connections to the service via IMAP. Configuring the firewall for outbound connections  
Enable IMAP access in IBM SmartCloud® Notes®Administration. IMAP access is not enabled by default.

Decide whether to enable IMAP access for all users or for specific users. To enable IMAP access for specific users requires time to make necessary edits to the on-premises directory. For more information, see Configuring IMAP access.
