If you are upgrading FileNet® P8 from
version 5.0 or 5.1, stop all Process Engine and
related software and do a backup before doing the upgrade.
Before you begin
Locate and navigate to the IBM®
FileNet P8 Version 5.0
or 5.1 documentation. Reference the back up and restore topics for
information about all databases and configuration files that should
be backed up before upgrading.
Procedure
To stop the Process Engine software:
- Log on as the pe_install_user. If that
user is not a member of the local Administrators group log on as a
member of that group instead.
- Stop all the following components that are running. For procedures
and further details, see Starting and stopping IBM
FileNet P8 components (in the
version 5.0 documentation) or Starting and stopping IBM
FileNet P8 components (in the
version 5.1 documentation).
Remember: If you are upgrading in a server farm environment,
stop all of the following components on all the server nodes in the
farm.
