Before you use the IBM® CMIS services
to access your repository, you must verify that your IBM CMIS web application was successfully
deployed to your web application server.
Before you begin
Ensure that you completed the following tasks:
- Ran all of the tasks in the IBM Content
Navigator Configuration and Deployment
Tool
- Completed any required post-deployment tasks
on your web application server
- Restarted the web application server where you deployed your IBM CMIS application
See the completed Worksheet for verifying your deployment when you
complete this task.
Procedure
To verify that IBM CMIS was
successfully installed and deployed:
Verify that you can access the IBM CMIS home page, index.jsp: - Open a web browser and enter the URL with the following
format: http://host_name:port_number/context_root/index.jsp.
The default context root depends on the type of
IBM CMIS services you deployed:
- For IBM CMIS
for Content Manager, the
default context root is cmcmis.
- For IBM CMIS
for Content Manager OnDemand, the
default context root is odcmis.
- For IBM CMIS
for FileNet® Content Manager, the
default context root is fncmis.
Tip: The format of the URL can vary depending
on your environment:
- If you are using SSL, the protocol of the URL is HTTPS: https://host_name:port_number/context_root
- If you deployed IBM CMIS to
a highly available cluster, the URL must point to the load balancing
server: http://load_balancer_host_name:load_balancer_port_number/context_root.
- When prompted, enter the user name of your repository
administrator.
