Deploying the web application on Oracle WebLogic Server

You can use the IBM® Content Navigator tool to deploy IBM Content Navigator to Oracle WebLogic Server.

Before you begin

You must complete the other web application configuration tasks before you can deploy the web application to your WebLogic Server environment. If any of the configuration tasks fail, the deployed web application will not work properly.

This task assumes that you have a configuration profile open in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool.

About this task

Tip: If you want to manually deploy the web application, you can close the wizard and manually deploy the EAR file to your web application server.

Procedure

To deploy the web application:

  1. Open the following task in your configuration profile: Deploy the Web Application.
  2. Complete the task to deploy the web application by using the values that you entered in the Worksheet for deploying the web application on Oracle WebLogic Server.
  3. Click Next to run the task.

If you are manually running the tasks in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool, you can take one of the following actions:

    • Click Run Task to run the task now. This option is recommended because it makes it easier to troubleshoot and resolve problems if they occur.
    • Wait until all of the tasks are complete and then click Run All Tasks to run all of the tasks that are required to configure and deploy the web application.
