The components used in this study are:

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 SP1 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4 ES
  • WebSphere Application Server
  • IBM DB2 Universal Database (DB2®) on Linux for IBM System z

This paper describes the outcome of tests that used a representative workload to test different WebSphere Application Server environments and settings for a Java-based application on Linux for IBM System z.
