Upgrading zRule Execution Server for z/OS client libraries in calling applications

In this task of the rolling upgrade, you upgrade zRule Execution Server for z/OS® client libraries in COBOL and PL/I calling applications.

Procedure

  1. Update STEPLIB for the batch clients and IMS, or update DFHRPL for CICS® to point to the V8.8.0 load libraries.
    Note: You do not need to relink each COBOL or PL/I application to the zRule Execution Server for z/OS stub in V8.8.0. All previous versions of Operational Decision Manager stubs are supported for use with V8.8.0.
  2. Replace other remote Rule Execution Server and HTDS APIs V8.7 with V8.8.0.

All zRule Execution Server for z/OS client applications use the latest client code.
