Starting the Decision Server Insights development server

When the product installer is finished, start the cisDev server to test that your Decision Server Insights installation completed successfully.

About this task

The server management script is in the <InstallDir>/runtime/wlp/bin directory. From this directory, you run various server commands. For more information, see Creating, starting, and stopping servers.

The ports are defined in the bootstrap.properties file, which is in <InstallDir>/runtime/wlp/usr/servers/cisDev. To find which application is using a port on your computer, run netstat.

Procedure

  1. Open a command window from the <InstallDir>/runtime/wlp/bin directory.
  2. Enter the following command: server start cisDev.

Results

When complete, the command window displays Server cisDev started.

What to do next

If you installed SmartCloud Analytics Embedded, you must complete the installation before you can use it with the cisDev server. For more information, see Configuring SmartCloud Analytics.
