Simplified Database Routing sample

The Simplified Database Routing sample is a message flow application based on the scenario of an employee management processing system. You can run the Simplified Database Routing sample by using the supplied self-defining XML messages in the Test Client.

The Simplified Database Routing sample demonstrates how you can use a range of simplified message flow nodes that require no programming. The following nodes are examples of nodes that you can use to perform processing without using any programming:

The Simplified Database Routing sample also demonstrates how to access databases by using JDBC, and how to use values held in an acquired result set from a database query, to either dynamically route messages or update their content.

NOTE: In WebSphere Message Broker Version 8.0 and later, message model schema files contained in libraries are the preferred way to model messages for most data formats, including the new DFDL domain. Message sets continue to be supported, and are required if you use the MRM or IDOC domains. You can continue to import and deploy message sets for use in message flows. However, if you need to create one or more message sets, message definitions, or message categories when using this sample, you must first enable message set development in the IBM Integration Toolkit. For more information, see Enabling message set development in the IBM Integration Bus documentation.

Click the following links to find out more about the sample and how to get the prebuilt sample to run by using the wizards. This sample includes step-by-step information so that you can create the Simplified Database Routing sample yourself.
