Network control point definition statements for NCP

z/OS Communications Server: SNA Network Implementation Guide
SC27-3672-01

The following definition statements contain information that the NCP needs for proper operation.
BUILD
Contains information about NCP characteristics, such as controller storage size, subarea address of the NCP, and characteristics of channel adapters.
SYSCNTRL
Identifies the dynamic control facilities included in the NCP. These facilities allow the NCP to process requests from VTAM® to change certain NCP parameters or to determine the status of resources, such as lines and stations.
HOST
Contains characteristics of VTAM. Knowledge of these characteristics is needed to conduct channel operations for communication with VTAM.
LINE, PU, and LU definition statements
Define SDLC resources to NCP. The LINE, CLUSTER, and TERMINAL definition statements define BSC resources to NCP. The PUDRPOOL and LUDRPOOL definition statements define pools of addresses. These addresses are used to support NCP dynamic reconfiguration (both PUDRPOOL and LUDRPOOL) and switched connections to NCP (LUDRPOOL only).
