Alternatively, you can make temporary changes by creating a DR file and issuing the VARY DRDS command. These changes do not remain in effect when the NCP is regenerated and reloaded. The MODIFY DR command cannot be used to add resources. Figure 1. DR ADD operation
You can remove the PU and LUs from the VTAMLST definition and issue a VARY ACT,UPDATE=ALL command. Changes made in this way are permanent changes. Alternatively, you can make temporary changes by creating a DR file and issuing the VARY DRDS command, or by using MODIFY DR commands.
