Displaying NCP storage

The DISPLAY DISK command displays the following information about the contents of IBM® 3720 and 3745 Communication Controller external disk storage:
  • Information about each load module, including:
    • The load module name
    • The date and time the load module was stored on the disk
    • Stability of the load module (stored, storing, or suspended)
    • An indication of whether the load module on the disk is the same as the load module currently active in the communication controller
  • Information regarding dumps, including:
    • The dump name
    • The date and time the dump was written to the disk
  • An indication of whether the load module is tagged for automatic IPL.
The DISPLAY NCPSTOR command displays:
  • The storage contents of an NCP communication controller
  • The storage contents of an NCP communication controller external disk storage (valid only for IBM 3720 Communication Controllers with the communication controller external disk storage feature or for the IBM 3745 Communication Controller)
  • The state vector from the NCP communication controller external disk storage (valid only for IBM 3720 Communication Controllers with the communication controller external disk storage feature or for the IBM 3745 Communication Controller).

The DISPLAY NCPSTOR command displays up to 256 bytes, beginning at any address within the communication controller or communication controller external disk storage. The bytes are displayed on the VTAM® operator's console.
