In the following sections about dial-out and dial-in connections, normal dial-in refers to a call originating from a PU; automatic dial-out refers to a call established by VTAM® using a communication controller. Manual dial-out refers to a VTAM-operator-assisted call from the communication controller or communication adapter to the PU.
