Applications can specify buffers in one of the following formats:
  • Guaranteed to be fixed (BUFTYPE=FIXED)
  • Guaranteed to be pageable (BUFTYPE=PAGEABLE)
  • Eligible to be made pageable (BUFTYPE=PAGEELIG)
