>--PURGED DUE TO INACTIVE COUPLING FACILITY--------------------><

Indicates that while checkpoint I/O is active on the coupling facility, JES2 detected a request for a checkpoint reconfiguration, and the coupling facility has not responded to JES2 within approximately one minute.

‘IO’ indicates miscellaneous operations such as checkpoint lock and checkpoint query processing.

In the message text:
member-name
The name of the JES2 member issuing the message.
strname
The name of the coupling facility structure.

System action

The current I/O is purged, and JES2 reenters the checkpoint reconfiguration.

If the current checkpoint I/O has been initiated as the result of a JES2 checkpoint reconfiguration, JES2 may issue message $HASP282 to indicate a null NEWCKPTn specification.

Operator response

Respond to the checkpoint reconfiguration messages with an appropriate option to recover from the error.

Attempt to determine the cause of the delay using other related messages or symptoms.

System programmer response
