Refreshing the instance

The Streams Explorer view automatically refreshes instances every 3 seconds. With every refresh, the Streams Explorer view obtains the current job and host information for the instance and updates the status of the instance.

Procedure

  1. To pause auto-refresh for an instance.
    1. In the Streams Explorer view, expand the Instances node.
    2. Right-click the instance and click Pause auto-refresh.
      Tip: To pause auto-refresh for all the instances, right-click the Instances node, and click Pause auto-refresh.
  2. To manually refresh an instance.
    1. In the Streams Explorer view, expand the Instances node.
    2. Right-click the instance and click Refresh Instance.
      Tip: To refresh all the instances, right-click the Instances node, and click Refresh.
  3. To resume auto-refresh for an instance.
    1. In the Streams Explorer view, expand the Instances node.
    2. Right-click the instances and click Resume Auto Refresh.
      Tip: To resume auto-refresh for all the instances, right-click the Instances node, and click Resume auto-refresh.
  4. To control the rate of refresh.
    1. From the menu bar, click Window > Preferences > InfoSphere Streams.
    2. Set the refresh interval in seconds. The time of the last refresh is shown on the instance label.
