Scenario QCF05: Configuring a full RTE with a remote monitoring server
If you have already configured a hub monitoring server, you can configure additional remote monitoring servers in their own runtime environments (RTEs). OMEGAMON® XE on z/OS® and OMEGAMON for Storage on z/OS monitoring agents are required to run in the same address space as a monitoring server, so one must be configured in each RTE in which either of these agents is running. Even if you are not running either of these agents, but you are monitoring numerous RTEs, you might want to configure additional monitoring servers to distribute the work load and reduce network traffic. The remote monitoring servers must be configured to connect to a hub monitoring server.
