New Monitor records are being provided that include information
related to the usage of FCP devices (subchannels) and CHPIDs
(physical channels) for EDEVICE activity.

  • The new Monitor records can be used to determine if the
existing EDEVICE configuration is optimal or could be
changed for better performance.

The new Monitor records have been included in the z/VM
Performance manual, Release 6.4, SC24-6208-11 in Appendix C.
