VM66304: PEVM66095 ABENDPRG004 AFTER DECONFIGURING AN FCP CHPID

Error description

• ABENDPRG004 after configuring an FCP channel path offline
  from the HMC.  The FCP channel path was in use by an EDEVICE
  and when it was removed a protection exception occurred while
  trying to store data in the associated channel activity block
  (CHABK) because the address found for it was zero.

  While an FCP channel path is in use by at least one
  EDEVICE, configuring the channel path offline may result in
  ABENDPRG004.  Code added by VM66095 to track chpid activity
  (even when Monitor is not running) incorrectly uses a
  field in the RDEV which is zero.  This results in using an
  address of zero for the CHABK to log the chpid activity which
  results in the protection exception.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code in HCPSZP has been corrected.  When RDEVCHP0 is zero
  and RDEVPAM indicates there is no valid path available, the
  chpid activity will not be recorded.
