There are restrictions on what smart card part numbers can be used to create different smart card types. See Smart card compatibility issues for more information.
DATAKEY smart cards are not supported on TKE 7.0 or later. If you are upgrading from TKE 6.0 to TKE 7.0 or later and have DATAKEY smart cards, you need to backup your CA smart cards using a more current smart card part number and copy keys and key parts from your TKE smart cards onto TKE smart cards created from a more current smart card part number.
