Field descriptions for restore output file
This table shows the possible values for the restore (RST) output fields in the QASRRSTO (restore operation) output file.
- ASP name
- The auxiliary storage pool (ASP) device name of the object when it was
restored. The possible values are:
- *SYSBAS
- System and basic auxiliary storage pools.
- device name
- Name of the independent auxiliary storage pool.
- ASP number
- The auxiliary storage pool (ASP) of the object when it was restored. The
possible values are:
- 1
- System ASP.
- 2-32
- Basic user ASPs
- 33-255
- Independent ASPs
- Defer ID
- The identifier used to defer the restore of database files.
- Defer status
- Indicates whether the restore of the database file has been deferred.
The possible values are:
- '0'
- The restore of the object has not been deferred.
- '1'
- The restore of the database file has been deferred.
- '2'
- The restore of the deferred database file has been completed.
- Device names
- The name of the devices used to perform the restore operation. The field contains a list of device names. Each device name is CHAR(10) and there can be 1–4 devices listed.
- File label
- The file label of the media file used by the restore operation. If a save file was used, this field is blank.
- Journal library name
- The name of the library that contains the journal to which the object was journaled when it was saved.
- Journal name
- The name of the journal to which the object was journaled when it was saved.
- Journal receiver ASP
- The name of the auxiliary storage pool (ASP) that contains the earliest journal receiver needed for applying journal changes when recovering the object.
- Journal receiver library name
- The name of the library that contains the earliest journal receiver needed for applying journal changes when recovering the object.
- Journal receiver name
- The name of the earliest journal receiver needed for applying journal changes when recovering the object.
- Large sequence number
- The sequence number of the file on media. The value will be 0 if the restore media is not tape.
- Library ASP number
- The auxiliary storage pool (ASP) of the library to which the object was
restored. The possible values are:
- 1
- System ASP.
- 2-32
- Basic user ASPs
- -1
- Independent ASPs. See the ASP number field for the independent ASP number.
- Media definition library name
- The name of the library that contains the media definition used in the restore operation.
- Media definition name
- The name of the media definition used in the restore operation.
- Media file number
- A number to identify this media file when a library is saved in parallel format. This field is only valid if the Save format field is '1' (save format is parallel). The value will be 0 if the save media is not tape.
- Member name
- The name of the database file member that was restored. This field will be blank if the object is not a database file, or if INFTYPE(*MBR) is not specified, or if the record is the summary record for the database file.
- Message ID
- The message identifier of an error message that was issued for this object or an error or completion message that was issued for this library.
- Number of private authorities restored
- The number of private authorities restored for the object.
- Number of private authorities saved
- The number of private authorities saved with the object.
- Object attribute
- The attribute of the object that was restored.
- Object name
- The name of the object that was restored.
- Object type
- The type of the object.
- Optical file
- The name of the optical file used by the restore operation. For a restore operation that does not use optical, this field is blank. This field is a variable-length field.
- Owner
- The name of the user profile that owns the restored object.
- Partial transaction exists
- Indicates whether this object was saved with one or more partial transactions.
If you restore an object that was saved with partial transactions, you cannot
use the object until you apply or remove journal changes. To apply or remove
journal changes you will need the journal identified by the Journal
name field and the journal receivers starting with the one identified
by the Journal receiver name field. The possible values
are:
- '0'
- The object was saved with no partial transactions.
- '1'
- The object was saved with one or more partial transactions.
- Primary group
- The name of the primary group for the restored object.
- Private authorities
- Indicates whether saved private authorities were requested to be restored.
The possible values are:
- '0'
- PVTAUT(*NO) was specified.
- '1'
- PVTAUT(*YES) was specified.
- Record type
- The type of outfile record. The possible values are:
- '1'
- Object information.
- '2'
- Library information.
- '3'
- Restore operation. This record type appears at the end of a multiple library restore operation.
- Replacement variables
- The message data for the message identified in the Message ID field. This field is a variable-length field.
- Restore command
- The command that was used when the operation was performed. The possible
values are:
- RSTCFG
- Restore configuration operation.
- RSTDFROBJ
- Restore deferred objects.
- RSTLIB
- Restore library operation.
- RSTOBJ
- Restore object operation.
- RSTUSRPRF
- Restore user profiles operation.
- Restore date/time
- The time at which the object was restored in CYYMMDDHHMMSS format.
- Restore library name
- The name of the library to which the object was restored.
- Restore release
- The release level of the operating system on which the objects were restored.
This field has a VvRrMm format, containing the following:
- Vv
- The character V is followed by a 1-character version number.
- Rr
- The character R is followed by a 1-character release number.
- Mm
- The character M is followed by a 1-character modification number.
- Save date/time
- The time at which the object was saved in CYYMMDDHHMMSS format.
- Save file name
- The name of the save file used in the restore operation.
- Save file library name
- The name of the library that contains the save file used in the restore operation.
- Save format
- Indicates whether the data was saved in serial or parallel format. The
possible values are:
- '0'
- The save format is serial.
- '1'
- The save format is parallel.
- Save release
- The target release level of the operating system for which the objects
were saved. This field has a VvRrMm format, containing the following:
- Vv
- The character V is followed by a 1-character version number.
- Rr
- The character R is followed by a 1-character release number.
- Mm
- The character M is followed by a 1-character modification number.
- Saved library name
- The name of the library that contained the objects when they were saved.
- Security messages
- Indicates whether any security messages were sent for this object. The
possible values are:
- '0'
- No security messages were sent for this object.
- '1'
- One or more security messages were sent for this object.
- Sequence number
- The sequence number of the tape file on media. The possible values are:
- -5
- The sequence number is larger than 9999. Use the value in the Large sequence number field.
- 0
- The media used was not tape.
- 1-9999
- The sequence number of the tape file.
- Size
- The size of the object.
- Spooled file copies
- The number of copies for the spooled file.
- Spooled file creation date
- The date when the spooled file was created.
- Spooled file creation time
- The time when the spooled file was created.
- Spooled file expiration date
- The expiration date of the restored spooled file.
- Spooled file form type
- The form type of the spooled file.
- Spooled file job name
- The name of the job that owns the spooled file.
- Spooled file job number
- The number of the job that owns the spooled file.
- Spooled file job system name
- The name of the system where the job that owns the spooled file ran.
- Spooled file name
- The name of the spooled file.
- Spooled file number
- The number of the spooled file in the job that owns it.
- Spooled file output queue library
- The name of the output queue library that contained the spooled file when it was saved.
- Spooled file output queue name
- The name of the output queue that contained the spooled file when it was saved.
- Spooled file pages
- The number of pages for the spooled file.
- Spooled file restored creation date
- The date when the restored spooled file was created.
- Spooled file restored creation time
- The time when the restored spooled file was created.
- Spooled file restored to output queue library
- The name of the output queue library to which the spooled file was restored.
- Spooled file restored to output queue name
- The name of the output queue to which the spooled file was restored.
- Spooled file size
- The size of the spooled file.
- Spooled file user data
- The user data of the spooled file.
- Spooled file user name
- The name of the user who owns the spooled file.
- Status
- Indicates whether the object restored successfully. The possible values
are:
- '0'
- The object did not restore successfully.
- '1'
- The object restored successfully.
- '2'
- The object was excluded from the restore operation.
- '3'
- The object was restored but not converted.
- System name
- The name of the system on which the restore operation was performed.
- Text
- The text description of the object.
- Total media files
- The total number of media files created for a library saved in parallel format. This field is only valid if the Save format field is '1' (save format is parallel). The value will be 0 if the save media is not tape.
- Volume count
- The number of volume identifiers in the Volume identifiers (complete) fields.
- Volume identifiers
- The list of volume identifiers that are used during this restore operation. The list can contain from one to 75 six-character volume identifiers. See the Volume count field to tell how many volume identifiers are in the list. This field is a variable-length field.
- Volume identifiers (complete)
- The list of volume identifiers that are used during this restore operation. The list can contain from one to 75 volumes. See the Volume count field to tell how many volume identifiers are in the list. This field is a variable-length field.
- Volume length
- The length of each volume identifier in the Volume identifiers (complete) field.
