BRMS always continues any subsequent saves within a control group on the device that was last active. This allows you to completely fill all volumes and allows for better utilization of available devices. You can use the *LOAD special value for a backup item entry in a backup control group to force subsequent saves (saves following the *LOAD entry) to a different volume which may be mounted on a different stand-alone device or resource in a media library.
