Field-at-a-time interface

The field-at-a-time interface is generated automatically and enables you to start processing forms immediately.

Taskmaster DotEdit takes an existing DCO and creates a dynamic interface that displays one editable field at a time, regardless of the number of fields on the page. The DotEdit interface features a center panel, which displays a scrollable grid that contains all of the field names with the data values as determined by a recognition engine or any prior data capture process. Below the grid, the panel displays an image snippet for the selected field and a data entry control that contains the data value. The user can edit the value as necessary.

To review or make corrections to data without mouse-clicking on the grid repeatedly, use Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down arrows as shortcuts to navigate and review the fields sequentially. Alternatively, use the Alt+L hot key to stop only on problem fields, which the recognition engine or the capture process was unable to interpret with high confidence or which failed a validation after recognition. Click Submit when all the fields on the page are corrected to advance to the next problem document.

The advantage of the field-at-a-time interface is that it is generated automatically and you do not have to use a panel that is associated with a specific application. To use the field-at-a-time interface, you simply specify which application to run and start Taskmaster DotEdit. The disadvantage of the field-at-a-time interface is that the layout is fixed. If you need to provide different views or perform any customization, you must use the Custom panel interface.
