Requirements and installation

The MDM Connector stage is automatically installed with InfoSphere® Information Server. The MDM samples must be downloaded from the IBM® Samples and Assets site and imported into InfoSphere DataStage®.

The MDM Connector stage and MDM samples work with any of the databases that are supported by InfoSphere DataStage.

MDM Connector stage requirements

The required components for the MDM Connector stage are listed in the following table.

IBM Master Data Management Standard or Advanced Edition (installing Advanced Edition gives you the virtual MDM features in Standard Edition)	11.3	You must have an operational server running and a virtual MDM project created in MDM Workbench. You must also have access permissions to the MDM database.
InfoSphere Information Server	11.3	Verify that you have access to the IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage® Designer client and InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager.
IBM WebSphere® Application Server	8.5

MDM sample requirements

Requirements to use the MDM samples are listed in this table.

IBM WebSphere Application Server	8.5	The following WebSphere Application Server JAR files are used by the MDM sample for MpxData. com.ibm.ws.admin.client_`versionNumber`.jar was_dependencies.jar was_public.jar
MDM integration samples (MpxData and Master Data Extract)	11.3	From the InfoSphere Master Data Management IWM Samples Version 11.3 from the Samples and Assets site, you must download the contents in the mdm_integration/mdm_datastage directory.
