To add custom configuration items through the configelement table

Procedure

  1. Insert your new configuration elements directly into the configelement table of the Configuration and Management database.
  2. Restart all InfoSphere® MDM applications so that they can access the newly added configuration parameters.

Results

Any custom configuration elements that are added directly to the configelement table using this method are considered dynamic in nature, meaning that they can be modified using the Management Console, and the changes will be propagated immediately to the runtime applications.
