Adding configuration nodes and items to the Configuration and Management component

If your deployment of InfoSphere® MDM requires custom configuration nodes and items, you can add them to the Configuration and Management component to help you to manage them.

You can add new configuration nodes and items as part of the development process. All configuration items can also be customized as part of the application assembly process.

There are two methods of adding custom configuration items to the Configuration and Management component:

• Add new configuration nodes and items using the configuration definition XML file and the configuration schema.
• Add new configuration items by adding them directly to the configelement table of the Configuration and Management database.
