Loading an EMAIL_TEMPLATE configuration item

A new email properties file or email template file must be loaded into WSRR as a new, or updated configuration item.

• Use the web UI to perform the following actions:
  1. Switch to the Configuration perspective if necessary, by selecting Configuration in the Perspective list.
  2. Click Active Profile > E-mail Notifications.
  3. To load a new file, click Load E-mail Configuration You must specify one of the following for the email configuration item name:
     • EMailTemplate, to override the default email template definition
     • EMailTemplate.templatename to load a custom email template
     • EMailMessages, to override the default email properties file
     • EMailMessages_locale, to load a locale-specific email properties file; for example, EMailMessages_fr
  4. To update an existing file, select the configuration item and click Replace.
• Use the loadConfiguration.jacl or updateConfiguration.jacl scripts.

  To load the least locale specific properties file for the email template, run one or other of the following commands, depending on whether WSRR is deployed in a cluster configuration, or a stand-alone or federated node configuration. You must specify the -configname and -configtype parameters as shown. Run the commands from the <WAS_INSTALL_ROOT>\WSRR\admin\scripts_cell directory. You must enter the commands all on one line.

  In a cluster configuration:

  <WAS_INSTALL_ROOT>\bin\wsadmin
  -f loadConfiguration.jacl -cluster <CLUSTERNAME>
  -filepath <PATH_TO_PROPERTIES_FILE> -filename <PROPERTIES_FILE_NAME>
  -configname EMailMessages -configtype EMAIL_TEMPLATE -systemflag false

  In a stand-alone or federated node configuration:

  <WAS_INSTALL_ROOT>\bin\wsadmin
  -f loadConfiguration.jacl -cell <CELLNAME> -node <NODENAME> -server <SERVERNAME> 
  -filepath <PATH_TO_PROPERTIES_FILE> -filename <PROPERTIES_FILE_NAME>
  -configname EMailMessages  -configtype EMAIL_TEMPLATE -systemflag false

  For example:

  c:\WebSphere\AppServer\bin\wsadmin
  -f loadConfiguration.jacl -cluster cluster1 -filepath /temp
  -filename EmailProperties.properties -configname EMailMessages
  -configtype EMAIL_TEMPLATE -systemflag false

  As a locale specific example, additional French properties might also be loaded. Notice that the command has been changed to point to a different source file and the name of the configuration item has _fr appended to the end:

  c:\WebSphere\AppServer\bin\wsadmin
  -f loadConfiguration.jacl -cluster cluster1 -filepath /temp
  -filename EmailProperties_fr.properties -configname EMailMessages_fr
  -configtype EMAIL_TEMPLATE -systemflag false

  Note: In parameters passed to wsadmin, directory paths must be specified using a forward slash ("/") as in /temp in the above examples.
