The repository
administrator structures how the repository
is organized and how users interact with the repository. The repository
administrator also manages communities, asset types, relationships,
master lifecycles, categories, and attributes.
The repository administrator
controls the following aspects of
the repository structure:
- Categories
- Define
the highest level of organization for assets in the repository.
- Communities
- Organize assets according
to common use and purpose.
- Asset types
- Provide governance, facilitate search, and ensure that assets
are useful.
- Relationships
- Enable
users to specify which assets are related in the repository
and to describe the relationships of assets.
- Master
lifecycles
- Create a review process that applies to communities
and asset
types within the repository.
Repository
administrators also configure the servers needed for
accessing the web services and documentation, define email and index
settings, and manage the look and feel of the application.
