Configuring the JMS event emitter service to use the WebSphere MQ messaging provider

By default, the Java Messaging Service (JMS) event emitter listens for incoming messages on a predefined JMS queue. Applications emit event XML to this queue and the JMS event emitter wraps each event in a Common Base Events envelope and submits it to the common event infrastructure (CEI) server. For applications that run in a WebSphere MQ environment, one way to submit event XML to the JMS event emitter is to use the WebSphere MQ messaging provider.

Before you begin

You must have IBM® Business Monitor installed on a stand-alone server or in a cluster. You must have WebSphere MQ installed and have a queue manager.

You can manage recorded events from the administrative console, or you can optionally install the Common Base Event browser for test and verification.
