Supported IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack operating systems
This section lists the operating systems and versions that IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack supports.
The following table lists the operating systems that are supported for installing IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack on the controller node.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 is supported on fix pack 7 and higher versions.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 is supported on fix pack 8 and higher versions.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 is supported on fix pack 9 and higher versions.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 is supported on fix pack 11 and higher versions.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6 is supported on fix pack 13 and higher versions.
- If you use the GNOME Desktop Environment (gnote) or KDE Desktop Environment, some package conflicts might exist with IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack. For more information about resolving the package conflicts, see Error occurs when installing qpid.
- If you plan to use Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 or later as controller nodes or
DB2®node, set RemoveIPC=no in file
/etc/systemd/logind.conf.. RHEL 7.2, plan to install IBM Cloud
Manager with OpenStack Deployment Server on a system with over 64 GB of

7.2 started using the
systemd
facility, andRemoveIPC=yes
